Gilham goes mobile

Mar 30, 2011
As we edge closer to the season opener of the BTCC this Saturday, news and announcements from the Triple Eight garage will be rife; so what better way to keep full up-to-date then with the new Tony Gilham Mobile app!

In addition to the brand spanking new website which was created and launched last week, by Digital Creative Company BreamTeam, comes a mobile experience, so that fans can follow the comings and goings of the team wherever they are!

When users visit the website through their mobile browser, they will automatically be transferred to the low graphical mobile version, which features an easy to use interface. Created to run on most devices, including iPhone, iPod, iPad, Android, Blackberry, Windows Phone 7, Palm and Samsung to name a few, will mean that no-one should miss out – espeically whilst they’re pushing the trolley around Tesco!

“Providing a platform for mobile users was one of our ultimate goals when we recreated the website for the new BTCC season.”
Apple users (iPhone, iPod, iPad, etc) will also be presented with the option of adding the website as an “App”, which will mean a shiny new “34” icon will be added to your home screen, so you are literally one tap away from everything 888 and TG34!

Team Designer, Dan Bream said: “The BTCC following is huge and the number of fans that have already joined us on Twitter and Facebook since the news that Tony was joining the BTCC has been immense. We cannot thank them enough for their support so early on.

“Providing a platform for mobile users was one of our ultimate goals when we set about recreating the website for the new BTCC season and we hope it will prove popular, especially as most of us will hopefully be at the circuit and checking the updates from our phones!”

The Tony Gilham Fanzone has also been popular so far, amongst the BTCC fans, especially with all the upcoming giveaways and not to mention the opportunity to potentially win Tony’s actual Vauxhall Vectra!

“The new Fanzone which launched last week has also been a huge hit,” Dan continued. “The concept is superb and the whole of the Triple Eight Racing with Collins Contractors team are really looking forward to rolling out the competitions once the season is in full swing – it’s going to be fantastic!”
